What do you like best about NinjaOne?

NinjaOne RMM is robust in feature set, but also simple to use. Ninja can deploy, monitor, and manage just about anything you can think of. If it is in the realm of powershell, NInja can handle it. Ninja is very easy to implement. Even out of the box, there are many great monitoring conditions. Software deployment is a breeze, and can be automated in the easy to configure policies. Integrating it in to common apps, such as Autotask, is very easy. Customer support is very responsive, and is great with updates. I have not had many issues that needed support, but they were always there with me from start to end. I use this program daily, and complete most of my day to day work from it.

Continuing with the theme of simplicity, Ninja has added context-based help. This allows you to get help from a button in the corner of the screen that automatically. THis makes it easy to learn a new pane, or get a quick refresher on a tool you have not used for some time. Definitley a great addition.

Update 2/13/2025

The product continue to see many new script templats and condition improvements. Recent additions include compound conditions, which allow the running of multiple scripts in specific orders, following specific conditions. Imporvements to patching now allow you to monitor last patch install drom a prebuilt condition.

Improvment to WYSIWIG cutom fields llows robust use of HTML to visualized data pulled from a script.

Reporting has improve significantly, no utilizing live-reports with scheduled exports.

Ninja continues to be a prefferred vendor in terms of optation, listening to voices, and implementing services that are wanted and useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NinjaOne?

I wish there were more reports, and that you could pull data from a PC with a script, and dump it into a report. Other than that, the platform is solid.

Edit: While there is not a baked in system, I have started using a custom field to grab the data that I want, then use device search to export a CSV report with said data. I would still like something more purpose-built. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NinjaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were struggling to monitor the uptime of networking equipment. Ninjas NMS keep track of this for us, and reports us when uptime is an issue.

We were having trouble keeping PCs and Servers up to date on their Operating Systems. Ninja now takes care of patching and has never failed us.

We used to run scripts for security remediations manually for WORKGROUP systems and with GPO in domains. We found these to be time-consuming and clunky, respectively. Ninja allows us to orchestra scripts across the system in seconds. The same issue was had with software installation, but that is now shifted to ninja.

We used to rely on user-reported issues to keep PCs running smoothly. With Ninja, issues are detected and automatically remediated. Issues that cannot be remediated automatically are ticketed to us, and we can work on it as needed. Additionally, computer optimization is now automated, and devices rarely see slowness due to uptime, corrupted system files, or bloated temp folders.

Patching system imporvments not only continue to solve our problem of patching, but have improved our ability to track and monitor patchign life cycels, solving the issue of "not knowing" where problem devices are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

• Initial setup can be a bit daunting, but customer support is helpful

• Current password manager, while functional and secure, leaves a lot to be desired. Speciifcally: the user interface is a bit clunky; there is no native Apple Silicon version of the password manager; search, while functional, is extremely clunky because it doesn't allow you to view a static list of search results, but only a small drop down menu that disappears the minute you click on a result; the browser extension mostly works well, but fails pretty spectacularly on certain websites.

• No easy way to manage printers without either a dedicated on-site print server or a cloud based solution. This means you need either to keep an on-site server (one reason to use JumpCloud is to eliminate the need for any kind of on-site server), or pay for another cloud-based service. What do you like best about Microsoft Entra ID?

Microsoft Entra is one of the best solutions Microsoft offers for verifying and identifying enterprise technology assets such as laptops and mobile phones. It ensures that only the right people have access to specific resources. What I like the most are these three features: multi-factor authentication with the Microsoft Authenticator app, identity management for each device, and its integration with BitLocker, which provides full disk encryption for the asset. What do you like best about Jamf Connect?

Each student can sit down at any computer running Jamf Connect and log on with their Entra ID credentials. It will create a local account for the student if one doesn't yet exist, and then sync their Entra ID password with the local account. The just-in-time account creation makes this product perfect in lab enviornments where you do not know ahead of time who will need to log onto the computer.

Another awesome feature is the ability to customize the login window completely. You can create a polished, professional, branded login window that really looks good. It's awesome to have the school's name and logo right there where everyone logs on.

Jamf provides a great utility to help you implement the product. It's very easy, especially if you also use Jamf Pro! If you don't have Entra ID, it can integrate with other identity providers such as Okta or Google. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jamf Connect?

The only dislike I have with it (and this is not Jamf's fault, it's an Apple limitation) is if you have enabled FileVault, there will be two logins when you turn the computer on. You will first need to unlock the hard drive with the FileVault password, then enter your Entra ID credentials. It is for this reason that I mostly use it for lab environments or other shared desktops.

The double login only occurs after a restart, so it's not really that much of an inconvenience to be honest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Okta is helpful in terms of managing minimizing tabs as we no longer need to login multiple times for each tools and makes our workflow more organized. It increases productivity by lessening time in opening tools.

What I like best about Okta is that it's a one-step sign in for most of the tools that we use in work such as Kustomer, Ujet, Guru, Playvox, etc. Additionally, it is beneficial with our daily work as we don't have to input our credentials every single time when we need to use and log in to the apps integrated into it.

Haven't got the chance to contact support yet as I haven't encountered any issues for the past 9 mnths I've been using this tool in our company. Lastly, the user interface (UI) is intuitive / has user-friendly setup which makes the experience when utilizing it always smooth and seamless that basically makes it designed with usability in mind. What do you like best about Domotz?

I'm not a large corporation, but instead a residential householder, but with around 300 devices at home. I've been using Domotz for around 10 years ago and it never lets me down. What do you like best about Cakewalk?

Cakewalk is designed for the modern tech company - it integrates extremely well into Slack, and doesn't force users onto a platform they're not used to just for the sake of recording a user access request. I've been looking for a product like Cakewalk for many years, and after attempting to use a competitor for the past year and failing due to over-complexity it has been a breath of fresh air dealing with the fantastic team developing Cakewalk. What do you dislike about Cakewalk?

The only downside about Cakewalk is that if you're looking for a SaaS management tool, this won't fit the bill for you as Cakewalk doesn't integrate into individual applications to grab user lists or automatically revoke or provision access. However, as a result of this, unlike many competitors Cakewalk is much easier and quicker to implement, and you won't need to spend 6-12 months setting up clunky processes which vary depending on the level of integration with the product. What problems is Cakewalk solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cakewalk is solving JML and access management for us.

Our company used a spreadsheet to track user access and privileges for many years, however as we've grown it's became more and more unsuitable for our scale, while simultaneously becoming less and less accurate due to how SaaS ownership is spread throughout our business. We attempted to use a competitor to Cakewalk, however we quickly became bogged down in over-complexity and extremely poor support that failed to understand our requirements.

In contrast, Cakewalk has been absolutely fantastic. The team there understand that many modern businesses today already have umpteen different platforms that employees need to memorise, and forcing staff to use yet another platform is not the answer. Instead, Cakewalk allows employees to request access to a service via Slack, and access requests are then sent onto whomever needs to action the request via a Slackbot. This allows almost the entire access request flow to be managed within Slack, with the exception of actually adding the user to the service. No more updating columns in spreadsheets!

Cakewalk also helps us track and reduce shadow IT by using their Chrome browser extension, which logs when users log into sites they haven't been recorded as having access to, and then asking them if this needs to be recorded - this works even if the site hasn't been previously tracked in Cakewalk.

The team at Cakewalk have been enormously helpful while we've been getting set up, and it's always a great feeling when you know you're speaking to someone there who cares about the product and the experience for users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Rippling?

First and foremost, I feel that every HR feature that you could possibly need is made very visible and easy to access. From submitting time-off requests to accessing your benefits, everything is pretty much right there for you. I also really like the app integrations that are possible with Rippling like Lattice, for example. The laptop/software update reminders from Rippling are also really helpful and I think the pay-day reminders are nice/cute to have as well. Also, upon being hired at my company, using the onboarding check-list through Rippling couldn't have been easier - it was honestly the smoothest onboarding experience I've ever had with an employer.
