MIAMI (WSVN) — IKEA is urging parents to use their free wall anchoring kits for one of their dressers after three kids reportedly died when the product fell on top of them.
“The chests and dressers can pose a tip-over hazard if not securely anchored to the wall,” IKEA said in a news release. The warning was issued for IKEA’s MALM 3 and 4-drawer chests , including two styles of the MALM 6- drawer chests.
According to The Huffington Post, the recall affected 27 million dressers, and only 300,000 anchoring kits have gone out to IKEA customers so far.
